Reasons to Smile!

It's been a long while... Ever since Chump took over our beloved country, I have been in a state of depression. I am still in it (and will be 'til he's gone). But atleast I now have a therapist to help me sift through the rubble. I think the whole ountry is depressed.
But 420 is almost here, which is always reason to celebrate!  Corinne Tobias of Wake and Bake is having another wonderful giveaway. I get 25 entries for a blog post, so here it is! I have learned so much  medicinal wisdom from this woman, and this plant! I am so grateful for both!
Here is her blogpost:
How to have a Healthy 420 + Giveaway !!When 420 comes around, people usually envision fat blunts, packed pipes, and a cabinet filled with a neverending munchie buffet. The result? Getting couch locked from indulging too much, an upset stomach from all the potato chips, and waking up the next day in a haze.
And let’s be real- most of us still have to go to work, drive, take care of a family, and be a functional adult.
You know that I wholeheartedly believe cannabis is an amazing medicinal plant but there are consequences to having too much of a good thing.
I mean, there’s no prize for smoking the most blunts or eating a cookbook worth of edibles, right?
If there is, mine must still be in the mail.
You can celebrate 420 and still keep it healthy

My favorite way to self-medicate with cannabis is through microdosing.
Cannabis has something called the biphasic effect- if you take a low dose of cannabis, you get one effect but if you take a higher dose, you lose that effect and start getting negative side effects.
A lot of people think that if you’re not getting the effect you’re looking for with cannabis, you should take more.
As both a cannabis coach and someone who uses cannabis daily, I always recommend starting low and slow. Take the smallest dose of cannabis first, and slowly work your way up until you find your “sweet spot”.
When you microdose, you get the desirable effects of cannabis (calmness, clearer thinking, inflammation relief) without the downsides (munchies, too high to function, paranoia, anxiety).
I’ve written a bit more about microdosing in this blog post, if you want a quick dive into the science behind it.
Plan your #Healthy420

Binging on snacks and joints is not the only way to celebrate 420. You can plan for an awesome day by scheduling some self-care or whipping up some magic in the kitchen.
Here are some ideas to throw into your 420 plans: And to really treat yourself, enter Wake and Bake’s annual 420 giveaway.
Wake and Bake’s #Healthy420 Giveaway

For this year’s 420 giveaway, I partnered with the amazing Satva Botanicals, who carefully crafts each of their full-spectrum hemp products to have no harsh chemicals or preservatives. They grow, hand-harvest, dry, and process the hemp and flowers to create the healing, healthy products that you see in this giveaway. (I definitely recommend checking out their website.)
Along with Satva Botanical’s amazing products, I’ll also be giving away my Money-Saving Cannabis Kitchen Starter Bundle and this gorgeous Waffleye cannabis waffle maker.

The winners will be announced on 4/20. I’m SO excited!
