Ignorance is Bliss!

I never thought I would be saying this in these troubled political times, but for me: ignorance is bliss.
I tend to be obsessive and passionate about the causes I believe in. This summer found me checking the news several times a day to try and analyze the fate of our world if “he-who-shall-remain-nameless” were to actually take the helm. (I'm afraid to even say his name, for it seems to have the power to sink my mood in seconds)
I was making myself insane, as well as everyone in my midst... If “he” did something idiotic or downright illegal, I was filled with glee. But moments later, if I saw something in the news indicating that “he” still has a chance of winning, I would be dashed upon the rocks of depression and despair. A solution was deeply needed, and fast!
It's probably too drastic for most, but I decided a cold turkey approach was the only way. So, just like back when GW “won” in 2004, I have decided to stop taking national news into my delicate system. I've been at it for a week now, and I am happy to report that I am happy again!
And bonus: I have more free time to do ART!
